Mark and Debbie open the show with a Woman’s Day article that lists the 9 Marriage Rules You Should Break.
Debbie brings an e-mail to the show from a woman that doesn’t know how to help her alcoholic boyfriend. Mark and Debbie discuss divorce, separation and the role repentance plays in changing behavior. Mark advises a young man to dump his girlfriend and send her a letter telling her he is dead. We also discuss what first time parents can do to prepare their relationship for the changes.

I have a few comments about the 9 marriage rules you should break. Just listened to you guys going through this.
Rule #1. Never go to bed angry- My grandfather told us at our wedding, in the receiving line no less, that ” you should never go to bed angry, stay up and fight”. Well, we done go to bed angry and we’ve just celebrated our 18th anniversary on Sunday.
Rule #9. Boring is bad- You said “who needs excitement?”, well, my comment to my husband was ” life throws us curves without our help trying to make it more exciting.”. He had a good laugh. By the way, our 15 year old daughter also listens to your show
Thanks for all the great laughs you give us!
Lynn ( Not Mrs. Wheeeeeeeeeler)
Oops, didn’t proof read, we DON’T go to bed angry.
