Happy St. Patricks Day! Debbie thought that since Mark is headed to New Zealand we should talk about this article this morning, Man takes double hit from wife.
A follow-up on why this young man is not ‘ready’ for marriage, and trouble erupts in a step-family. Parents are concerned about their daughter that as made some really bad decisions. A new job has torn a marriage apart, and now that the job has changed, but the damage is still there. One couple has stopped having sex because they lack the emotional and physical desire and a man has a question about 1 Corinthians 5 and teaching it in a church.
Also, check out Mark’s new blog that he mentioned during the show, Sometimes Sex is just Sex.

Have you discussed “Hooked: New Science on How Casual Sex is Affecting Our Children ~ M.D. Joe S. McIlhaney Jr, M.D. Freda McKissic Bush”? It seems that who you have sex with, your love, thinking, etc starts to go in that direction. I heard this book mentioned in conjuntion with porn (how God’s design of sex to unite, gets all messed up with porn … fornication …)
If you ever read the Book of Enoch you’ll understand why the devil has a special hate for women.
I have a question to Mark.
He often says in the show, and elsewhere too, to soilders that he thanks for their “service” for the country, and God bless them for it…etc.
I just wonder how can this “soldiers killing other people in Iraq or anywhere” be compatible with the Bible or with Mark’s faith. And how can he say to them that “thank you” (…for killing other people…- of course he doesn’t mean that, but it includes this).
Can a soldier be christian, or after he becomes a christian, shoudn’t he stop being a soldier (or at least a soldier who carries a weapon and kills)?
In the old testament it was a different story killing in a war, but after Jesus came, he changed things, i think.
Excuse me if my question is not understandable, i am not an english speaking man.
thank you!

Actually something that is not talked much about is that Jesus didn’t change anything that was in place in the old testament. In fact he came to make the Law of Moses a reality.
anyway. i was wrong with this “change”. maybe because of the english language…
By the way He did change some really main things: you can go to God directly, not through the cleric…for example. I think there were some real big “changes”.
BUT the question is still actual! And no one answers the question itself…
In the Old Testament, God commanded His people to arm themselves and fight wickedness. God Himself has a heavenly army. Even Jesus told His disciples that the time would come when they would need swords.
Ideally, today’s armed forces would always act in defense of godly freedom and to protect the powerless from oppression, enslavement and slaughter. Sadly, when human motives become mixed with righteous principles, a pure cause can become clouded.
This is why I encourage American Christians to pray and vote for a godly government, even to run for office, that my nation might once again follow the truth of the Bible.
I have several friends who serve in the military. All of them feel the call of duty to stand strong and save lives from danger and attack. None of them are killers who enlisted to satisfy their thirst for blood. I am thankful for the sacrifice and service of every one of them. I pray for them earnestly, and for their adversaries as well.
