Mark and Debbie open the show with a Wall Street Journal Article, Housework Pays Off Between the Sheets.
They open the e-mail bag and discuss how to deal with temptation while struggling in your own marriage, and the problems masturbation can cause in relationships. Mark advises a woman to serisouly communicate her sexual needs to her husband.

This is for the first part of your show on “housework pays off between the sheets” …there are many, many times I wish I could just pick up the phone (have listened to every show from day 1 but opt to listen to the Podcast because of sporadic distractions at work) and respond with, “Hey, what about us guys that already do that, have from day one including cleaning of the bathroom, picking up the house, putting 90+% of the dinners on the table (home cooked-nothing premade), do all the chores outside of the house (1/2 acre yard with small garden, shrubs, and trees), plus walk the dogs twice a day (hers is a border collie cross needing much outdoor time and mine is older not requiring anything close) and might get sex once a week if I don’t beg enough to make her cry…or have my wife right here with me to listen to you laugh at how guys would get more sex if they just did this, that, and the other thing.
I’d really wish you’d follow up these so called studies that generalize men with something like, “And you women out there that have men that are doing this or a facsimile thereof, you had better be rewarding the boy.”

I thought this might be helpful to share with the listeners. In the past, I have struggled with whether or not masturbation is a sin, and after praying and studying the Bible, I found this Scripture. It pretty much addresses looking at porn and masturbation in a black-and-white way.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.” Matt. 5:27-30 (NIV)
