Mark and Debbie open the show with a bizarre article from PhD. Ian Kerner, Porn is to him what a pedicure is to you . This ‘sexpert’ believes that masturbation is just a ‘stress reliever with a happy ending.’
Mark and Debbie get to e-mails on the show looking for advice on how to keep a man from cheating, why woman have to be accountability partners, and what to do when a young Christian wants to marry his girlfriend but his Dad says no.

Mark and Debbie,
Thanks for a great radio show. I enjoy Mark’s insight into marriage and relationships.
However, when it comes to young people wanting to marry, and parents who are opposed, I am surprised at Mark’s advice. While I am an advocate of early marriage, I would not counsel anyone marry against their parents’ will, especially if their parents are believers.
The Bible is clear that children are to obey parents, and if you look at the list of evils in Romans 1 and 1st Timothy 3, the accusation is “disobedient to parents.”
This is the place to trust that God has placed one’s parents in a position of authority–and to let God change their hearts and minds.
If you look throughout the Bible, the command is to honor, respect, obey, etc. parents and the elderly. It is only recently that our culture has totally abandoned children’s respect and obedience to parents.
Please don’t encourage kids to disobey parents—obedience is still the right thing to do–even when the parents are wrong.
Thanks,
Dave
It’s not disobeying your parents when you’re 20 years old. And parent’s are not the liason for you to hear God’s voice. Even parents can be wrong regarding the will of God in your life. I agree parents should have a say when you are still a “child” under 18, but this particular caller was a 20 year old college grad.
