Those are hard to find also. Women also perpetuate the "shut up and put out" messages. And marriages that look great on Sunday morning may not be that great. The couple in my church that leads the young married couple study has not had sex themselves in the past 5 years (top secret info.). What should the church do to find mentors and leaders? Screen people? Ask them, "How's your sex life?", "Any violence in your house?", "Know anything about 'tree climbing'?"............ One more thing: The “mature Christian women with great marriages”. You often advise women to "go and speak to [their] pastors". Problem: I know of only one pastor who gets these concepts, you. I’ve been married for 25 years, have spoken to pastors/deacons from more than one church. and more than one marriage conference. I haven’t heard much beyond “shut up and put out”.
