God bless keep-em coming John
I had listened to the latest Wednesday online message and relayed the message earlier today to my husband that he is the head of the household even when he does nothing, using the analogy of Moses (who was like God who delegated work) and Aaron (who was like the prophet who heard from God and did the work). He asked if that was actually in the Bible, and yes, Wednesday nights go verse by verse. God choses who is the authority in the home, and God choses the man, I explained. This seemed to liberate more confidence in him (he said he would consider getting a new job closer to home). Challenges are still likely to be faced, but I am liberated by this idea because I no longer think that our family will be unsuccessful or cursed because my husband has not been attending church lately. By being diligent in seeking God, I can receive directly (from the Holy Spirit) or indirectly (from others at church) guidance to a healthy family. On the night radio show, when the it was bluntly expressed that the man is the head of the household because the Bible says so, this was singing to my heart. I can be confident that God will answer my prayers and bless our family even when my husband does nothing. I cannot change my husband, but I can share what I learn, and it is a blessing that he listens. (He even requests that I do some butt-kicking on him.) God has answered my prayer to bear a child. While I was pregnant, I prayed for more dependence on him because being a parent is overwhelming. God is continuing to show his faithfulness in answering the concerns of my heart.
God bless you, Mark, in being usable for God’s Kingdom.
I’m listening to you daily…. enjoyed your interview on 100 Huntley st. 2 weeks ago, our small group called “Laugh your way to a better married” had a break just at the time that the later airing was on… what a blast.

Excellent analogy, between Moses as a god, and Aaron as his Prophet – compared to Husband and Wife. Thank you for bringing light to these scriptures. You’re right though – the movie version of Moses is not depicted correctly.
